We welcome auditionees who are 18 years of age and older. Some roles may have specific age-related requirements, but we encourage people of all backgrounds and experiences to audition.

No, you do not need a passport to audition, as you can submit your audition online. However, if you are selected for the tour, you will need a valid passport for travel as we will be crossing borders. The company will handle visa arrangements, but your passport must be valid for the entire duration of the tour.

If you don’t have a passport yet, please apply for one as soon as possible if selected for the tour. A valid passport is essential for the travel portions of the tour.

No, it can be either, as long as you are visible and hearable.

WeTransfer is a simple, free online service that allows you to send large files (up to 2GB) to someone else via email. Instead of attaching large files to emails, you can upload them to WeTransfer, and it generates a download link that you can share. The recipient can then download the files directly from the link.

The initial audition process is online, and you should submit your audition materials via WeTransfer. Only the second round (callbacks) will involve in-person or virtual auditions, depending on your location.

There are no strict time limits for the videos, but your auditions should showcase the following:
Singing video: We want to hear your vocal range and ability to connect with the character through your performance.
Acting video: We’re looking for your ability to portray a character and convey emotion. We encourage diversity in your performances.
Dance video (Optional): If you choose to submit a dance video, it should demonstrate your versatility and style.
The most important thing is that your videos highlight your talent and connection to the role, regardless of length.

This is a general audition, so you are not auditioning for a specific role. We will assess all submissions and select where you best fit based on your talent, skills, and suitability for the tour. You only need to submit one audition.

Due to the large volume of submissions, we are unable to provide individual feedback. However, you will receive a confirmation once we have received your submission. If you are selected for the next round, we will contact you directly with further details and instructions by the 10th of January 2025.

If you are selected for a callback, you will be contacted via email with specific details about the callback process. For those who are not based in Cape Town, the callback will be conducted virtually. If you're in Cape Town, the callback will take place in person.

No, there is no fee to submit your audition materials. Auditions are free to enter.

If you are selected for the Calling Us Home Africa Tour 2025, congratulations! Here's what you can expect:
Confirmation and Contract:
You will receive an official offer outlining the details of your role, compensation, and tour schedule. This will be followed by an official confirmation email with a contract This will be followed by an official confirmation email.Rehearsals:
You will be required to attend rehearsals in Durban before the tour officially begins. Specific dates and times will be provided once selected.Travel & Accommodation:
We will arrange and cover your travel expenses for the duration of the rehearsal and tour. Detailed information about flights, accommodation, and other logistics will be shared closer to the start of the tour.Visa & Travel Requirements:

Yes, all selected performers will receive compensation. This includes payment for performances as well as travel and accommodation support. Details on payment terms and compensation rates will be shared with you once you are selected for the tour.

The Calling Us Home Africa Tour 2025 is expected to begin in mid-2025 till middle November 2025. Rehearsals will take place in Durban, and the first performance will also be held in Durban which will be the start of the tour.

Absolutely! We encourage performers of all experience levels to audition. While prior experience is helpful, it’s not a requirement. We're looking for passionate, versatile performers who can connect with the material and bring the characters to life.

The production will primarily be in English. Some roles may require a specific dialect, and if that's the case, coaching will be provided to assist you in mastering the accent.

For your audition video, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely, especially if you are submitting a dance video. Your outfit should be simple and allow us to focus on your performance rather than your wardrobe. For the acting and singing videos, wear something that suits the tone of the character or song you're performing.

However, if you have a recent performance video that meets the audition requirements, you may include it, as long as it clearly represents your skills.
